Gentlemen stand up and be proud to be a chap
The Chap
The classic gentleman look has made a come back. The Chap has been at the forefront of gentleman like attire for sometime. Maketh-The-Man salutes everyone at The Chap, and seconds its code of conduct to reinstate such outmoded but indispensable gestures as hat doffing, giving up one's seat to a lady and regularly using a trouser press. Top notch sirs!
Watch out for the yearly summer Chap Olympics. A sporting occassion that a true gentleman can not miss.

To snood or not
We finally need to admit it, but the snood has arrived and seems to be staying with us. Everyone from ASOS, to All-Saints and even Burberry are producing these ring like scarfs. Long live the Snood!

A 'wrist' bag?

Helmet hair no more
Long live the 'Hovding' - a cycling collar that is worn around the neck with an airbag hidden inside. Have a look at the top secret crash tests. Hopefully it'll come in different colours!
Velcro Gloves?
Wool Week has been and gone but where were all the wool accessories? Have we been overlooked by the big knit jumpers and turtle-necks once again?

This is your captain speaking
Drop by Spitalfields Market today (Sunday only) and you'll come across this cool jewellery designer. We really like the paper planes chain, it's making us go all origami.

Got any gear mate?
Maketh-The-Man has been searching high and low for the best accessorise available to man and whilst the Topman tat floods our highstreet, the high end market is keeping the high fliers sparkling. So what have we found? Well, there is still room for improvement but here is a pick of our favorite designers (so far):
Have you seen any men's accessories to maketh-the-man? Send us an image or details, and if we like it, we'll stick it up here. Exciting, much...

The best, but for a budget!
London rocks, and everyone living there can now buy any sort of accessory at pretty much any sort of price. The opening of Piaget's flagship store in New Bond Street is evidence of that, and their boss agrees. Its good to know that the upper end of the market is still doing well.

LFT 'Mens Day' Sept 2010
Topman's belt / bum bag |
KTZ Horn cap |
Martine Rose's belt / bum bag |
Ozwald Boateng's tartan scarf |
Ozwald Boateng's modern day man |
Topman's high belted waist (again) |
Men's Day for Spring / Summer 2011 brought us some interesting trends. High belted waists, the further evolution of bum bags, army medals worn with pride on leisure or formal wear, and some interesting head wear to say the least.

Albatros necklace
Mr Lee Paton presented his latest collection at London Fashion Week this September. We especially liked the albatros round bluto's neck.

Doe, a deer, a fe(male) deer
Everyone seems to be going mad for taxidermy at the moment. Who knows why, but lets hope it continues as the animals are wearing accessorise well too.
