Him vs Her: Must Have Accessories For Summer

The battle of the sexes is always an interesting conflict.  So we took it upon ourselves to challenge a male and female accessory lover, to tell us what they thought this summers must have mens accessory is.  Below you will find the first installment from our male writer.
Image 1 of ASOS Puma by Hussein Chalayan Fairtrade Scarf

A lot of men disregard layering in the summer complaining “its too hot to layer.” The thing is, designers and retailers do check the weather. They adapt their pieces perfect for warmer weather when the SS season hits. Heavy weight cotton blazers become lightweight linen blazers, heavy knit cardigans become loose, lightweight cardigans, and the list goes on. Now taking into consideration layering is OK in the summer, today I want to talk about mens summer scarves.

Scarves are always acknowledged as a winter accessory but this season things have changed. Lightweight acrylic scarves have become extremely popular, along with neckerchiefs. Wear a summer scarf draped lightly around your neck, focusing on the design and colour to add a vibrant touch to your style. It’s not going to increase any heat, and the simple addition of a lightweight summer scarf is going to dramatically transform your look.

Herschel bags keep it in the family

The story of Herschel begins in the early 1900’s, in Wick, Scotland.  Then after a trip across the Atlantic and a family business handed down through the generations, backpacks and bags are still being created today.  They are created with American heritage, world travel and fashion firmly routed within every bag.  We salute you Herschel, good job.

Walk with a Swagger and Swoon someone with a bow tie

Maybe we got carried away by the Royal Wedding, maybe we just love to dress up, or maybe we just saw these cute bow ties and just had to tell you about them.  Whatever the reason, check out these ties by Swagger and Swoon.  They have many, many, many options including the cupcake (another good cupcake store in London is The Hummingbird Bakery) tie for those picnic celebrations.

Zelia Horsley makes us fancy

In 2008 the jewellery world was introduced to Zelia Horsley (Twitter - @ZELIAHORSLEY, Facebook - Zelia Horsley). She moved fast, and was named as a “HOT 100” nexgems sponsored by SWAROVSKI. She knew that everyman needed some fabulous in his life, and so she introduced the world to her collection "FANCY MAN" which is an extravagant, manly, wearable range for men.
