We do love a bit of taxidermy here at Maketh-The-Man, so we were delighted to find out about San Fran company Loved To Death (Twitter - @lovedtodeath).  As they say, they specialise in 'taxidermy memento mori jewellery and art curiosities'.  So if that isn't enough to tickle your curious fancy, then you need a bigger tickler.

Sorsd - curators of men's style

Hot of the press, and ready to dress the discerning gent, Sorsd [pronounced sourced] (Twitter -@sorsd) has launched this year.  Created by a group of well heeled buyers it showcases stylish, high quality and unique (something we love at Maketh-The-Man) brands for men.

Simple put, they curate men's style.  Good job chaps.

Sometimes  you just have to get the basics right.  What I mean by the basics includes good collar stiffeners, cuff-links, business card holder, belt etc etc....  Doing this with a bit of flair and quirkiness is a must, and a mantra we follow at Maketh-The-Man.

Luckily you can find all your basics with a decent amount of flair with Tyler & Tyler (Twitter - @tylerandtyler).  We are especially loving the Foxy Roxy cheeky key ring.  Ding Dong!!

Ushowu goes Dutch with bracelets & manbags

It's not everyday that you stumble upon a quirky shop from the Netherlands, but we have done just that with Ushowu (Twitter - @ushowu).  They stock these incredible 'fish hook' bracelets, which we love, and are always handy to have when Loch side.  They also have a great range of leather bags, with the olive green royal bag being one of our favs.

Maketh-The-Man meets Ray Kelvin

Maketh-The-Man was invited down to Selfridges for the launch of the Ted Bakers Sweet Shoppe this week.  Whilst there, we had a chat with Ray Kelvin (CEO and Founder of Ted Baker), and had a our picture taken with him (bag over face in true trademark style).

Ted Baker and Brady Bags like fishing

TEDSEY - £325

DISSEY- £225

FLYBAG - £155
Ted Baker (Twitter - @ted_baker) and Brady Bags have come together this November to create a bespoke range of men's and woman's bags for both the town and the countryside.  The lovely men's collection features three main styles and are all made in England

We are told that the collection came about as Ted is particularly found of fly fishing, and often carried a Brady Bag around with him when partaking in a spot of rod and reel action.  So one sunny day when popping his trout into his Brady (they are rubber lined especially for this) Ted thought that perhaps he should have his own fishing bag.

And so the collaboration was born.

Magical spectacles with Kirk Originals

Flagship London Store

Kirk Hero's

Saturn

Sculpture
I have been looking for a pair of new glasses for sometime.  Basically, whilst driving my D&G's slipped off my face and out of the window.  They were gone forever, sad times!  So the hunt began for some new spectacles.

Well luckily for a modern day dandy, there is a great selection out there.  However, it wasn't until lately that we were introduced to Kirk Originals (Twitter - @kirkoriginals).  These quirky but cool eye accessories not only come in a variety of classic frames but they also have an array of fabulous colours.  The Kinetic collection includes lenticular images along the side of the frames, which produces a moving image whilst in different light. It's a little like magic, and we love them.

The clever chap behind Kirk's, Mr Jason Kirk, has just opened a flagship store in London, so go down and check it out.  As Jason says about the store, 'it provides  a unique experience and ensures everyone leaves with a pair of  Kirk Originals glasses that makes them look and feel fabulous’.
