Boom, Bang, Wallop with LoveBullets

'Love' and 'Bullets' are not often two words that you put together unless you are watching Baz Luhrmann's Romeo and Juliet.  However, the clever chaps at LOVEBULLETS have done exactly that.

LOVEBULLETS is a creative house representing a visionary frontier in fashion, art and ideology by inverting traditional symbols of destruction and transforming them into works of art.  Their first collection ‘Amo Ammo’ consists of silver and gold plated miniature reproductions inspired by the high end ammunition.  Pieces in the collection include elegant beaded mortar bomb pendants, matching grenade rings and bracelets and cool mini army hat pendants.  BOOM!

Blackberry 7 launch at Sketch with Jessie J.

The London socialites gathered together at Sketch to welcome the launch of Blackberry's new smartphone collection. The star-studded event launched the latest BlackBerry smartphones and also celebrated the arrival of BBM Music - the new social and interactive music sharing service that works with BlackBerry Messenger (BBM).

Celebs from Paloma Faith, to Jo Whiley, the full casts of The Only Way Is Essex, and Made in Chelsea were clambering past the mass of paparazzi outside the venue, but once inside we were treated to cocktails, canapés and an intimate but stunning gig by Jessie J.

Barbour launches Steve McQueen collection

Barbour  (Twitter - @barbourofficial) rolled out the red carpet treatment recently with a night of cocktails, and British inspired canapés (think mini fish & chips, Cornish pasties and sausages & mash).  It was a fabulous night, with Barbour's new Steve McQueen USA inspired collection taking centre stage.

The clever PR guys also put on an exclusive competition whereby every attendee was given a special key on arrival.  The key opened one of four small chests dotted around the store, and if you were able to unlock the chest, you won a limited edition Barbour jacket. NICE!

We didn't win on the night, but we still had great evening, and our thanks goes to the Barbour team.... and their bartenders!

KTZ likes some S&M

KTZ was one of the most sought after London Fashion Week tickets.  A queue had started to form almost an hour before the show was scheduled to start.  KTZ fans can often bring out the strangest of outfits, and this queue certainly had a colourful bunch.

Once the lucky ticket holders were seated, the music started pumping and the show began.  A running theme through-out it were the flashes of S&M leather straps.  Whether that be as thick cuffs, body harnesses, belts, bags adorned with buckles or even the occasional hat.  It, as well as the crowd,  was a sight to behold.  Now where's my whip...

The man clutch is coming

One of our highlights from Menswear Day was the introduction of the MAN CLUTCH!  Yes, we said it the MAN CLUTCH.  Hats off to Topman for being this brave, and pairing a classic woman's accessory with a man.  Its logical, looks great, and we at Maketh-The-Man love it. What better way to carry around all the essentials, without the need for an over-sized manbag.

Now we are off to raid our mums cupboard, and pull out her best.  Watch out, its coming to a high street near you. Topman, Topbag, top of the morning to you.

Menswear Day on our Facebook Page

The posts will never stop on Menswear Day, as it was such an AWESOME day!  We have just uploaded some exclusive pics to our facebook page of the day.  Check it out, and like our page as well lovelies.

The 'bug bracelet' takes over #LFW

For sometime now we have been waiting for London Fashion Week's Menswear Day, and then on the 21st of September it hit.  Team Maketh-The-Man descended on Somerset House to spread the accessory love via our exclusive 'bug bracelets'.

Our bugs have been especially sourced from bug farms, and set into clear resin to ensure we capture the bug in it's most natural and perfect state.  Once the resin has hardened, then we can do anything with it.... and so we created a limited edition give-away for Menswear Day.

The fashion boys (and girls) certainly loved the bit of taxidermy we were giving away, and we are now busy making more.  If anyone would like us to create one using a specific type of bug, let us know.
