A Tanner for a belt? No, it's a little more than that.

We all need a good belt(s) in our life.  There are some who would say you always have to match your shoes to your belt i.e. brown shoes, brown belt, but conforming is something we rarely do at Maketh-The-Man.

However, such occasions are called for, so whilst looking for a new belt to hold up my 'brakes', I was reminded of Herring Shoes lovely hand-crafted collection. Within the range are two-tone leather/ canvas pieces that compliment their two-tone styles from the Premier Collection such as the Henley and Fencote, mock croc styles to compliment the Jagger and Dylan, and plainer classic chestnut leather styles, which are more versatile.

The pièce de résistance of the collection is the Tanner Bates Oak Bark leather belt. Oak bark is the finest natural material used to tan natural cowhide and Tanner Bates are the experts in leatherworking craftsmanship. Their belts are hand made in a workshop in Devon, and the solid brass belt buckles are cast in sand and hand polished.

So if you are in need of a classic belt, you now know where to go.
