London Collections Men: Mr Start

Our favorite Shoreditch tailor, Mr Start, presented a more relaxed version of his suit collection at London Collections. There were a number of first for the brand with accessories making an appearance on the catwalk. Leather bags, and also hats were the most notable feature illustrating a forward looking approach to tailored casual-wear, whilst retaining throughout what Mr Start does best.

No wet head with Kangol's P2i golf collection

Kangol has fused technology with headwear with its new golf collection.  It uses P2i, a liquid repellent nano-coating technology, which creates an ultra thin polymer layer that changes surface properties and causes liquid to form beads that simply roll off, making  it water repellent without changing the look and feel of the product.  This is like pure wizardry. Whatever next, skincare that makes you look like you have a natural tan.... Wait a minute....

Kangol hat's are Made in England

I remember having a Kangol cap when I was a lot younger than I am now.  Thankfully, the brand is still going strong and it's Made in England collection returns this season in three classic styles - flat cap, baker boy and bucket.

The fabric used for the entire range is crafted in Yorkshire and the various British checks are named after towns in the surrounding area – Burton, Copley and Kendray.  Now I can't wait to see what their Made in Scotland collection looks like, especially if it's named after Barrhead, Erskine and Cambuslang.

Win a BLOCK HEADWEAR Trilby

Our friends from the states have sent me a beautiful BLOCK HEADWEAR trilby to give away to one of my lucky readers. This beautiful fabric panel fedora has a black rim, with grey paneling and a cheeky blue ribbon bow tie (a nice little touch).  To win this trilby all you have to do is follow me on Twitter and send me a tweet at @manaccessories stating why you should win i.e. I should win the block headwear trilby because......  You have until the end of April 2012 to enter. Then I will pick the best answer.

If you want to know more about BLOCK HEADWEAR, these guys are based in the States and make simple yet relaxed headwear for men.   The actually means BLOCK (head) and WEAR (hat), the name given to a piece of carved wood that hats are molded around with steam to give their shape i.e. they are BLOCKED.
