London Collections Men: Hancock hand luggage

Man bags we love. Anything from Scotland we love. So to mix the two into one beautiful fashion brand got us very excited. London Collections introduced us to HANCOCK, who draw their inspiration from Thomas Hancock, the English inventor who founded the British rubber industry.

Back in the day of 1843, Hancock took out a patent for the vulcanisation of rubber using sulphur, 8 weeks before Charles Goodyear in the USA, and the rest was history.

Hancock Vulcanised Articles are hand-made at a factory in Scotland, to create their iconic pieces, and are very much a modern day twist on a old school luggage classic.

Are you an Americano or Italiano Sandast bag?

This is Vintage Done Right. Established in 2006, Sandast has only one goal: To create the most beautiful, high quality, vintage-inspired leather bags and accessories.
Every piece of Sandast is handcrafted. Milan Franeta utilizes old-world tradition and craftsmanship of unsurpassable distinction and quality. Sandast’s bags are not just manufactured; they are born from a historical relevance, marrying beautiful leathers with elegant shaping and mixing it with imported European hardware for functionality.
"My interest in art and design, which started at a very young age, transformed to design and fashion throughout my life. I still paint and use a lot of those elements in my work. To me, art and design are synonymous."
 –Milan Franeta
Sandast offers two very distinct personas of vintage leather goods. American Rugged - Made in USA, it is rough and tough, rebellious by nature; the dirtied messengers, rucksacks, and duffels look like they have been perfectly aged by dirt, terrain and rain only the American landscape can apply. Italian Vintage - made in Italy, the alter ego collection, Italian Vintage is sleek, elegant and polished, this collection is made for smooth operators who can wear the bowtie, suspenders, and neatly folded pocket-square. So which Sandast bag are you?

Herring Shoes now does bags

Herring Shoes (Twitter - @herringshoes) have added yet another exciting string to their bow by extending their premium brand further and branching into luggage. The new luggage range from Herring Shoes spans from wash bags to large weekend holdalls and all finished in super soft dark brown waxed leather.

Each bag is aptly named after a luxurious London landmark. The Dorchester is a weekend-sized holdall with two external zip pockets, sturdy webbing strap handles and a large internal zip pocket. The base is stiffened with brass stud detailing to help preserve the leather.
The Draycott is a larger luggage version of the Dorchester with similar attributes.

The Mayfair is a satchel style briefcase with a webbing shoulder strap, two front pouches with a larger zip pocket above, and inner padding to protect your laptop.  So which manbag would suit you, and your style?  I want The Dorchester, thank you please.

A Candy Case from Aspinal of London

So who is ready for their trip home for Christmas? We are, and will be travelling back to Scotland with our new lovely bag, the Candy Case from Aspinal of London (Twitter - @AspinalofLondon).  Handmade from the finest soft and supple Black pebble Italian calf leather married with contrasting smooth Tan calf leather, it's a perfect cabin-sized case.  So those pesky airport staff, can just back off now even if my case full of accessories looks like ammunition on the x-ray machine (true story!!!).
